Passing of Accounts

Some beneficiaries are resistant to signing off on the necessary accounting to finalize the windup of the estate. We regularly help executors attend court before the Registrar to pass the accounts and work towards a conclusion of the estate windup, even in the situation where a beneficiary is being unreasonable.

Similarly, we act on behalf of beneficiaries where there are questionable issues with the estate windup. Those issues include the size of the executor fee sought by the executor, inappropriate expenses that are claimed by the executor, and/or failure to account for all assets to be included in the estate.
